This is the largest painting in the auction and a great piece of painting. This artist could really handle a brush, fluid strokes, light touches of the brush that bring a patch of blossom or a small child to life on the canvas.
The mother picking blackberries by the road side is particularly evocative - a rural idyll that could be Britain as much as Sweden.
