20th century Swedish School ‘Dancing at Night’

 All the noise and excitement of a nightclub dance floor between the wars. The impressionist style lends itself to creating the sense of movement and atmosphere as the figures reel in and out of focus. Judging by the various costumes - the Indian prince on the left and the animal masks looking on from the right - it must be a masque of some kind.
