Nordic Coastal Scene painted by an unknown Swedish School artist.
This is, visually at least, a classic Modern British painting. The subject of beach detritus on a shoreline occurs constantly in post war British art and often as a metaphor for the desolation of the Second War. Of course it could also just be the artist having a day at the beach.
